2018 Fall Programs and Classes at the Library

Engage Fall 2018

Plano Public Library is your place for #morethanbooks. Visit us, spark your curiosity and plan how you’re going to expand your mind this fall. We have something for everyone.

  • Families can re-create Isaac Newton’s Laws of Motion with different activities to develop an understanding of the laws
  • The 18st AIRSpace will host two artists this fall. You can learn trapunto-the art of stuffing, how to make pop up greeting cards and an illuminated letter tile
  • Wonder Café lets you learn about what happens to items you throw into recycling bins with Nicole Warhoftig and Ken Ruffin will explore the possibilities of living in space
  • Spend the day with other genealogy enthusiasts at the 8th annual Texas Wide Genealogy Lock-In and add to your research capability. The event kicks off with Judy Russell, The Legal Genealogist webinar: “Don’t Forget the Ladies”
  • Hear from specialists about preparing your child for success and reading to your "bump". Parents who are expecting or caring for a newborn can learn about: Changing Relationships, Making Music, Baby's Cues, and Imaginative Play
  • Enjoy art exhibits by local artists in each library and view special exhibits from Humanities Texas: People’s Lives: “A Photographic Celebration of the Human Spirit” and “Jasper, Texas: The Healing of a Community in Crisis”

See for yourself! Flip through the pages of Engage and learn about more programs and classes; all free at the library!
